I guess this qualifies as “filler Friday” material, because it’s not particularly horrible. Or bad. It’s also not particularly good, or not particularly anything at all. I’m afraid to call it “inspirational” because it’s precisely as uplifting as the Sunday Word Jumble, for much the same reason.
Make of it what you will.
If I threw open “The Book of Pleasant Words” to nine random pages, I might get this. I will admit that “fear” is a bit of an outlier, but I can’t imagine anything with the words “family” and “life” also in not including it. Fear is kind of crushed up into the side–or maybe it’s slowly encroaching, bringing its vile presence into PleasantLand to slowly erode its palatable inhabitants from within.
“RELAX” gets a lot of weight. Again, I think it’s because “family” is in the picture, and you need the reminders.
What word would you add? It really should be a pleasant word. And I think, given the fontography, this thing’s screaming out for Comic Sans in the corner. How about…
Cope
Schadenfreude
“Crunchy”
benign (it’s been a good medical year)
replaceable
Never mind. The artist turned over and went back to sleep, we’re not touching her masterpiece.
