Maybe it won’t notice us.
I have never been to Waikiki, nor have I seen their shell concert. However, given the wide-eyed, shocked stares of the musicians, and the apparent decapitation of their first alto, it sounds kind of terrifying.
By the intermission, most of the players had already lost their hats in a gale force conch solo. For now, though, they had their heads, and that was at least somewhat positive.
Any one of us could be next. Frankly, when the next round of decapitations come around, I’m shoving these guys to the front. They lost their eyes in the OÊ»ahu tour last year, they won’t be missing much.
I mean, except for, you know, the rotating knives. They’d miss those.
Really, just standing around and acting casual is probably the best survival strategy. Bet you $5 it’s going to be the guy in the dippy slouch cap that gets it next. Damned hipsters.
I know this is a shell concert, I mean, it’d be false advertising if it wasn’t. But they do seem a little on the small side, and frankly a little unmusical. The only sound you could get out of them would be a small, sad, crunch, and that’s one of those “only once” things.

There’s something going on here that would make a great Aliens 4 movie.
