I’m ALMOST sure that this isn’t a negative image with the color reversed, because then she’d have red eyes and purple hair. So the next best is that the artist got tired of trying to mix flesh-tones, and had a “screw it” moment. And what a screw it moment it was.
Things I love about this image: I love the eyes. I love the way the artist’s subtle use of light, shadows, and apparently Photoshop’s “Bevel and Emboss” filter gives her eyes, or at least the space around them, the effect of being carved out of her face with a chisel. Make-up cannot achieve this look, only fettling knives.
I just get lost in the eyes. The one on the left seems to be reflecting Saturn, in all his glory. The right eye, a gleaming 20-sided die. No critical failures here, rowr.
But all of this is dominated by the lips.
So perfect, so…large. Lips made with the aestetic of a Little Debbie Snack Cake and on a scope such that Kalamity Katey, the birthday clown and balloon artist, would say, “you might have used a bit much there. And I don’t think your base is really working with your hair. Your hair says ‘spring,’ your cheeks say ‘Neptune.’ It’s all a bit clashy, you know?”

This painting stirs some anxious feelings in me. It might have racist undertones, but the targeted race doesn’t exist yet. That, or the model was in a staring/holding breath contest with a little person.
She’s terrifying and mesmerizing. I can’t stop staring!
